Steven Universe: Multiversal Road Trip Part 3

Crystalvengers Assemble!!

"Ok, let's see where and what we are," Jack gets up and sees himself. He was wearing his regular clothes and hair, but his skin was tan, his fang was missing, and his gems were gone.

"Whoa, so this is what being a real human feels like," Jack checks everyone else as he felt his heart beating, "Oh, man. This is what it's like to have a heart that's not part of a gem? This is a very weird experience." Steven was the same but his gem was gone, and Pearl's gem was gone and her skin was a few shades darker like a stereotype American woman with the same shirt and hair but her skirt was now a dress. Amethyst's gem was also gone and her hair turns black and the same skin tone as Connie and her clothes was a white tee, blue denim jacket, and the same pants and boots as her Gem form. Ruby and Sapphire were separated again, and including their gems being gone, both of them look a lot different than their usual look. Ruby was an oak brown skin tone girl with the same clothes as her usual look, and Sapphire was an eggshell white girl with yellow hair and the same dress she usually wears. Jade's skin was a light brown skin tone with black hair with the back of her hair down and black also and her clothes consist of a sports bra, black sweat shirt and pants, and tennis shoes. When Jack lifts up Jade's left eyelid, there was a real eye that was identical to the other.

"Guys, get up!" Jack wakes everyone up, "Our gems are gone!" Everyone got up and wake themselves up as they search the spots the gems should be. Everyone was freaking out about the gems' mysterious disappearance till Jade felt something in her pocket. She pulls a green sphere out of her pocket and saw it was her gem, so everyone dug in their pockets and they all found their gems inside. Jade was about to ask till something rang from Jack's backpack, and Jack reaches in to grab the communicator. He activates the device and Turquoise appears on the screen.

She gasps a bit then recognizes him, "Oh, Jack-san, it's you. Sorry, we're all still getting used to your various forms."

"That's understandable, I guess," Jack rolls his eyes, "Can anyone tell me why we're all humans?"

"You're not humans," Peridot comments, "According to this, you still have your powers, but it looks like you have to summon them."

"Summon them? How?" Jack asks as there was a crash behind the Gems. They're investigate what it was till they saw some guy in armor and in a horned helmet.

"Loki, the God of Mischief?" Jack gasps, "Our powers are now superpowers, so that could mean…" A hammer was thrown at Loki as he dodged it. The hammer went back to the hand of Thor, the God of Thunder. A metal robot walks in front of Loki and blasts at Thor as a blast of light tries to cancel each other out.

"The Asgardian Destroyer? Then he would also be using…" Jack saw blue skinned beings with gold armor, "…Frost Giants." He looks where Thor was and saw that he, Iron Man, Black Panther, Hawkeye, Spider-Man, and Captain America are in the battle.

"Those guys are the Avengers!" Jack states as everyone looks confused, "The Avengers are a team of heroes that fight of evil like Loki and any other global threat, and they look like they can use our help."

"But what can we do? We're only humans," Pearl wonders.

Jack takes out his gems and places two of them on his hands, "I hope this works." He places his last gem on his heart but nothing happens. The Gems shook their heads can't believing they have no powers until Jack thought of something then removes the heart gem.

Jack looks confident and as he places the last gem he yells, "Time for them to see some stars!" A beam of black light with stars on it forms around Jack, and as the light dies, Jack was in his armor that's painted in galaxies and stars. He bangs his fists together and summons his claws on both hands then his shields, and when he summons his sword, two blades came out of his hand gems.

"Whoa, this is an upgrade," Jack chuckles, "I'll call myself the Celestial Artillery."

Ruby and Sapphire grab their gems and touch each other's gems but no effect with them. Jack thinks about the gems and then comes up with an idea.

"Cross your gems together and say 'No time to lose, Let's fuse'. It might fuse you two together, at least, in theory," Jack tells them.

Ruby and Sapphire cross their gems while touching them the yells, "No time to lose, LET'S FUSE!!" They both turn into light then fused into Garnet with a fire gauntlet and an ice gauntlet.

"Let's call you…the Fusion Bruiser," Jack suggests.

Garnet smiles as she says, "Sounds and looks awesome."

"Me next, me next!" Amythyst begs.

Jack thinks, "Try 'Hear my Roar of Justice'."

Amythest places her gem on her chest as she yells, "Hear my Roar of Justice!" Amethyst turns into light then transforms into the Violet Lion with a lioness face, claws, and hair like a lion's mane then roars loud.

Jack pats her head, "Your name has already been chosen, Violet Lion." Amethyst licks her hand and rubs it along her hair.

Pearl rolls her eyes as Jack examines Pearl, "Okay, maybe try 'The hunt begins'."

"The hunt begins," Pearl says as she places the gem on but nothing happens.

"Pearl, have a little more enthusiasm than that," Garnet grabs her shoulder, "Trust me, you'll enjoy the change."

Pearl sighs and smiles a bit as she places her gem on her head, "The hunt begins!" Water wraps around her body and gives her a leather vest, pants, boots, cape, and a crossbow on each arm that either one can double as a regular bow.

"The Hydro Hunter will be your name," Jack smiles. Pearl shrugs as Jade was ready to put her gem over her eye.

"Say 'Time to bug out'." Jack says as Jade places the gem over her eye.

"Time to bug out!!" Jade's gem merge with her eye as her superhero suit looks like the Centipeetle. Her hair was her normal hair, her mouth was a that of the Centipeetle, her gem was her left eye, her outfit has the Centipeetle's tail on her rump and jade gems on her back, and her arms and legs was like the Centipeetle's legs.

"Hope you're ready for a fight, Cindy Peetle," Jack pats her shoulder. She smiles as acid drools out of her mouth.

"I want to make up my own battle cry, please," Steven looks at Jack puppy-eyed.

Jack smiles and says, "Why not? I bet you always wanted to be a superhero."

"Okay, I can do this," Steven places his gem on his stomach and yells, "Time to Gem up!" His gem glows as a light wraps around him and makes an armor made of rose quartz and metal as he summons his shield then use it to cover himself then slams the ground to cause a crater.

"Using the name Jack gave me, I'll be known as the Quartz Guardian," Steven stomps and chuckles, "Okay, this is pretty cool."

"Okay, after I say 'assemble', come out of here and attack," Jack walks to the edge of the alley and saw the situation. Thor and Captain America were struggling to keep Loki down, Iron Man and Spider-Man tries to take down the Destroyer, and Black Panther and Hawkeye were being overwhelmed by the Frost Giants. Jack comes out of the alley and starts spinning to make a cyclone which lifts the Frost Giants up then uses lightning to knock them out.

"Hey, who are you and what are you doing here?" Hawkeye asks.

"The Celestial Artillery," Jack replies, "And what I'm doing is helping."

Black Panther charges to Jack as he moves over as the Black Panther knocks out a Frost Giant, "We thank you for your assistance, but I don't think one more person is going to help."

"Good thing I'm not alone," Jack raises his hand calls lightning to his hand, "Crystalvengers, ASSEMBLE!!" The gems charge out and attack more of the Frost Giants.

"Looks like we got more guests to our party," Iron Man fires his repulsors at the Destroyer, "Let's start giving refreshments."

"Cindy, Quartz, help Iron Man and Spider-Man destroy the Destroyer," Jack commands his "team", "Hydro, Lion, hunt down the Frost Giants, and Bruiser, you're with me." Everyone nods and head to their assigned positions. Jade sprays acid on the Destroyer's chest as Steven jumps up and hits it's head with his shield-covered fist.

"Man, Mr. Robot's is gonna have a serious headache when this is over," Spider-Man use his webs to bring Steven back as Iron Man fires a unibeam at the spot Jade sprayed acid that created a hole. The Destroyer was about explode near a building, and Steven activates his shield to block the blast away from the people in the building as Jade and Spider-Man gathers the pedestrians away.

"You okay, Quartz," Jade got to Steven as he lowers his shield and breaths heavily.

"Don't worry about me," Steven gets up, "I'm not down yet."

"I'm impressed. You two handle better than Spider-Man would do on his best day," Iron Man jokes.

"Hey, not funny!" Spider-Man protests. Pearl fires arrows that has her spear tips from her crossbows at the Frost Giants as Amethyst slashes some up then uses her whip to catch some of them and throws them to Black Panther.

"Keep it coming, my fellow feline friend. With your team here, I can do this all day," Black Panther punches and kicks the Giants.

"Dude, that was my plan, anyway," Amethyst rolls and slams some Giants to the ground.

"Sure, they're tough, BP, but that doesn't mean they got our type of skills," Hawkeye fires a three exploding arrows at some far off Giants. Pearl stands next to him and points Opal's bow up then launch a water arrow in the air. Hawkeye was about to laugh, but then the arrow duplicates and strikes all the remaining Frost Giants.

Hawkeye drops his jaw as Pearl closes it with her bow, "We happen to have our own type of skill, little birdy." Garnet jumps and slams her fire fist down as Loki disappears from the attack, and she looks around and sees him near Steven.

"One false move and this mortal dies," Loki holds his dagger under Steven's neck. Garnet squeezes her fists hard as Jack whispers something in her ear. She nods as Jack grabs Thor's hammer and places it by his waist.

"Don't worry, I'll give it back," Jack says as Thor was in disbelief.

"But…" Thor was speechless, "Only I…can weild…Mjöinir." Jack backs up and stomps fast then charges to Garnet then she grabs him spins then throws him to get more speed. Jack turns invisible before Garnet lets go and throws him at Loki, and before Loki jabs the dagger in Steven's throat, Jack turns visible with Mjöinir in front then hits Loki's face.

"You alright?" Jack checks on Steven.

Steven nods, "Jade and Spider-Man went to help the humans to the hospital, and Loki caught me off-guard and exhausted."

Jack gets Steven up on his back and drags Loki, "You were awesome out there, and that's all I can ask from you." Jack gives Thor back Mjöinir as Garnet grabs Steven.

"How can a simple mortal like you wield my hammer?" Thor demands.

"Don't worry, Thor. I have the power to change time and space, and believe me when I say this, I nearly got power drained just by holding that thing," Jack says as he salutes to Captain America, "Excuse our interruptions, Captain, but we thought you could use our assistance."

"We should be thanking you, son," Captain replies, "You and your team seem to know what you're doing."

Jack took a deep breath as he says, "We're just glad we can help, sir, and after we help with clean up, we can explain why we're here." Captain nods as Hulk, Ms. Marvel, and Falcon came around to help with clean up.

"Hulk don't know strangers. Hulk SMASH!!" Hulk charges to Jack as he acts like he's not worried. Just as Hulk was about to ram Jack, he grabs Hulk's head and slams it deep into the ground.

"Hulk calms down before Artillery hurts Hulk," Jack imitates Hulk, "And that's how strong I am, Thor."

"Now, that's a man," Ms. Marvel winks as Jack blushes a bit. After clean up, the Avengers shows them Gems around Stark Tower a bit before they head to the control room. Amethyst saw Wolverine in the training room then decides to watch a bit, Pearl joins Black Widow in an aerobics training exercise, Garnet strikes up an intellectual conversation with the Vision, Steven and Jade went with Ant-Man to help out with some experiments, and Jack went with Captain to the control room when he found a guy with brown hair with blue and yellow armor and a sword by his side.

"Hello?" Jack says as the armored guy turns around, "I don't believe I've seen you as an Avenger."

"Alas, I am a new member from a time that is referred to as 'the Medieval Ages' in this time," the guy says, "I am Sire Sweden, an honorable warrior." Jack reaches his hand out as Sire Sweden grabs arm as Jack does the same.

"Ah, I see you know some of the ways of the people of my time," Sir Sweden compliments.

Jack smiles and replies, "Sometimes you need to do things the old-fashioned way, so you can say I'm kind of a scholar on history."

A few minutes later…

After the Gems explains the reason why they're in New York, Iron Man, the Vison, Bruce Banner, and Ant-Man searches for a spike in energy depletions to look out for the Hydraxon.

"So, what's make you think it's trying to heading somewhere other than here, bub?" Wolverine asks.

"Well, it's just a theory," Jack admits, "But after being in one world with a different power source that's not in this world, it must be using different energy sources for something else."

"So, we have to find it before it gets a chance to absorb the energy and use it for something sinister," Black Widow concludes.

Captain America adds, "Or before it ends up in the hands of any criminal nutjob crazy enough to try to drain the Hydraxon."

"Found something!" Iron Man says, "It appears it's in…Latviria."

"Why does that not surprise me?" Jack says in annoyance,"Wonder what Doom plans to do with the beast."

"Whatever gives me the chance to sharpen my claws," Wolverine says smugly. Iron Man, Thor, Ms. Marvel, Falcon, the Vision, and Jack were flying in the air as everyone else was in the Quinn Jet.

Ant-Man was near Jack's ear as he says, "We're about to land in Latvirian airspace, so we need to be careful down there from here on out."

"Got it, Ant-Man. Thanks," Jack looks at Latviria as some missiles were heading towards them. Jack summons his swords and slices the missiles in two and makes the warheads go in the water before it explodes. They all land near Castle Von Doom as Ant-Man jumps off of Jack and grows.

"Iron Man, Artillery, Vision, Ant-Man, Black Widow, all of you try to lower the castle defenses from the inside," Captain commands.

"Understood, but we need cover," Jack replies, "Garnet, Violet Lion, Wolverine, Hulk, Ms. Marvel, Thor, Spider-Man, take out the rockets that'll be aiming at us."

"The rest of us will distract the guards as the wizards of technology try to complete their mission. Onward to battle!" Sire Sweden raises his sword and charges with Captain America, Falcon, Hawkeye, Black Panther, Pearl, Jade, and Steven following. Hulk jumps and slams down on a rocket launcher as Spider-Man shoots his web to catch a rocket and swings it back. Iron Man hacks into the security while Ant-Man tries to rewire some of the defenses as Jack throws his shield out and cuts off a few heads of some Doombots. Sire Sweden thrusts his blade through four Doombots then throws them to Jade as she dissolves them with her acid.

"We have bypass the security, Sir," Jarvis says to Tony.

"We're in, Cap," Tony calls Captian.

"We're on our way," Captain gets a Doombot of his shield as everyone reaches for the door. The door opens and Doom emerges with him riding the Hydraxon.

"So nice of you to visit, 'heroes'," Doom says, "I wanted to visit you all so you can witness my new pet."

"We'll see tough it is when I'm done with him, Doom," Wolverine jumps on one of Hydraxon's heads and cuts it off.

"Wolverine, NO!!" Jack yells as the Hydraxon grew two more heads then swat Wolverine away.

"Thank you for giving me more power, you animal," Dr. Doom absorbs the energy from the Hydraxon. It roars in pain as it's third head starts to fall to the ground.

"Even it doesn't deserve that," Garnet runs up the Hydraxon and punches Doom in the face as it escapes by another wormhole. Iron Man uses his unibeam at Doom as he fires to block the beam.

"Sire, ready to fly?" Jack reaches his hand out. Sire Sweden grabs Jack's arm as he throws him to Doom with the sword out. It struck his arm and he screams in pain. Garnet charges in and punches Doom's lights out.

A couple hours later…

Captain America and Sire Sweden was at the entrance of the Stark Tower as the Gems were in their human forms.

"Thanks for all your help, Crystalvengers," Captain says.

"We also want to thank you for stopping the Hydraxon before it can steal any energy," Jack salutes to Captain as he gives a few lightning patches to him and one to Sire Sweden, "We would be honored if the Avengers would be honorary members of the Order of the B.O.L.T." Captain nods as he salutes to Jack.

Sire Sweden held his arm out, "Till we meet again, new friend." Jack grabs Sire's arm and nods as the Gems starts to leave.

"Peridot, where's the Gem?" Jack speaks into the communicator.

"The computer says the Hydraxon is still in New York," Peridot replies, "But an alternate version of it."

"Everyone, into the subway," Jack leads to a subway car as he traces his finger over the door and gets the Gems inside. The train left to a different version of New York City.
